Who doesn’t remember stealing the cardboard tube out from mom’s Christmas wrapping paper roll and using it to whack their brother or sister over the head whilst pretending to be a medieval knight or martial arts aficionado?I practically forgot all about the glittering gifts under the tree because, holy crap, I had a cardboard tube!Who could have foreseen that cardboard tube whacking would gain such worldwide popularity in the high tech 21st century?But alas, there’s an actual organization that is dedicated to having fun with cardboard. The Cardboard Tube Fighting League holds competitions all over the world where people join together in play…and show off their homemade cardboard armor. There is only shared victory. When you arrive at the event you are provided with a tube and colored marker to mark what side you are on. When the battle begins and you, along with your teammates, attempt to break as many of the opposing teams tubes as possible. A broken tube is any tube that is completely unraveled at the break, or is severed completely. The last teams with remaining tubes are declared the winners.

But just when she is in front of the White House, Washington DC, she gets into trouble, and only the unexpected intervention of one of her fellow countrymen saves her. However, this man, who introduces himself as Akira Takizawa, is a complete mystery. He appears to have lost his memory. and he is stark naked, except for the gun he holds in one hand, and the mobile phone he’s holding with the other hand. A phone that is charged with 8,200,000,000 yen in digital cash.

Konata Izumi

Konata Izumi is, more by default than anything else, the "leader" and the shortest of the main characters. Nicknamed "Kona-chan" by Tsukasa, she is an eccentric but friendly and outgoing girl, with a mischievous yet good-natured sense of humor. She can be smart, but she hates studying , thus her grades are a bit uneasy. However, she is an expert in pulling an "all-nighter". In contrast to her studying habits, she loves video games, to the extent that she can compete against Kagami Hiiragi on trivia-based games. In addition, she loves anime, which is also due to her father, Sōjirō Izumi's influence, along with the games. He buys adult games for himself, so she is able to play and enjoy them. In fact, when she became eighteen, Konata was overjoyed, since she could now go buy and play ero-games legally. In the anime, Konata constantly refers to or parodies several popular games, anime, and manga (much to the annoyance of Kagami). Both of her voice actresses for the animated version, Aya Hirano for the Japanese version and Wendee Lee for the English version, are in fact the same people who voiced Haruhi Suzumiya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime; other voice actors from the same series make guest appearances during the course of Lucky Star.
In order to fund her interests, Konata had a part-time job at a cosplay cafe in Akihabara. In online gaming, she played a male fighter type character, that gets married to a female fighting character that is actually a guy. She often plays late into the night, hence why she tends to fall asleep in class, which makes her a frequent victim to her homeroom teacher, Nanako Kuroi. Ironically, Ms. Kuroi was also part of Konata's team in the same game. Konata rarely eats a "normal" Japanese lunch, as she frequently eats only a chocolate cornet.
Her physique is smaller than average when compared to her peers, which she claims hasn't changed since she was in the sixth grade. She is ambidextrous, in contrast to the mostly left-handed main cast. She has long, blue hair which comes down to her calves with a large ahoge, sleepy eyes, a catlike smile and a beauty mark under her left eye, just like her father. Her mother, Kanata Izumi, died when she was an infant, and she has lived alone with her father since. In her third year of high school, however, her cousin, Yutaka Kobayakawa, came to live at her house, giving a total of three people in the Izumi residence. Although Konata spends most of her time playing games in her room, she has a darker skin tone, like her father's. Konata placed seventh in 2channel's SaiMoe 2007 contest, came in second place in the category of "Best Female Character" in the thirtieth Anime Grand Prix, and ranked third in Newtype's "Top 10 Female Characters of 2007" poll.

Saki is in her last year in university. She is 22 years old, born on January 6, 1989. After her parents died she lived with her elder married sister and her baby. She visited New York City as part of her graduation trip with her friends and after visiting Washington D.C. alone, she meets Akira Takizawa who helped her out when she threw a coin in the grounds of the White House and is questioned by the police. After noticing that she left her passport in the coat she gave to Akira, she follows him and then decides to go back with him to Tokyo, Japan. She plans to work in the company her brother-in-law owns, because she is ashamed of living off their money. She could only go to college with the aid of her sister and her brother-in-law. Her ability to enhance the value of junk items have been one of the main reason for the Eden success.

郭峰（Kwok Fung），原名郭民富，在1971年無綫電視藝員訓練班畢業後加入無綫電視，1974年轉投麗的電視(就是後來的亞洲電視)，1977年返回無綫電視。
郭峰有「郭大俠」卓號，因其妻歐陽佩珊曾於《神鵰俠侶》(1983)中飾演黃蓉一角，而黃蓉的丈夫郭靖巧合地與郭峰同樣姓郭，故此得名。
郭峰最著名的演出是《創世紀》的霍景良，演的出神入色。
郭峰可以演出正氣領然的大俠、警察，也可以演出唯利是圖、心狠手辣的奸商，也可以演出好色的小人，角色千變萬化，都靠演技來詮釋。

(Apcom) - "Le misure prese dalla Bce" per fronteggiare il problema della crisi delle Borse "sono nella giusta direzione e nei prossimi giorni vedremo se saranno sufficienti". Lo ha detto il presidente del Consiglio, Romano Prodi, conversando con i giornalisti fuori dal residence che sta ospitando le sue vacanze a Castiglione della Pescaia.

The Japanese company’s Wii console outsells the Xbox 360 in the US by appealing to women, children and the elderly, a strategy Microsoft says it needs to adopt to win a broader audience than the first Xbox attracted. “If we don’t make that move, make it early and expand our demographic, we will wind up in the same place as with Xbox 1, a solid business with 25 million people,” said Peter Moore, a vice-president who oversees the Xbox. “What I need is a solid business with 90 million people.”
